VIDEO ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

As mentioned in Codes for a Healthy Earth, today there are literally hundreds of millions of people and millions of groups are working on countless regenerative and compassionate solutions. The Codes video offers a tiny glimpse into some of the world's most inspiring and effective community-led solutions and movements working for social and ecological regeneration.

Below is a chronological overview of the diverse individuals, groups and (affiliated) initiatives featured in the video with windows to the original videos.

With deep gratitude to MiraMichelle, founder of Sacred Female Rising Institute, for the narration of the video.

About the White Lions and the Global White Lion Protection Trust

The vision for Codes for a Healthy Earth has been inspired by the work of Linda Tucker and Jason Turner of the Global White Lion Protection Trust, who have generously offered the opening and closing scenes of the video.

The opening scene is Marah’s moment of first release - and her cubs witnessing the sun for the first time - after years of Linda Tucker's battling for their freedom. Marah’s parents were forcibly removed from her ancestral lands of Timbavati, in the UNESCO Kruger-to-Canyons Biosphere. She was the first white lioness to return to the wild in a scientific reintroduction program led by Jason A. Turner and his team, after decades of forcible removals had rendered the White Lions technically extinct. (Photograph: Carl Hyatt).

Watch Linda Tucker on TEDx as she tells Marah’s moving story.

In the closing scene, Mandla (Aslan) roars his freedom from Tsau, White Lion ancestral territories. Mandla was rescued by the Global White Lion Protection Trust from a canned hunting camp, and returned to his ancestral lands, where he and Marah’s royal lineage continue to flourish to the 4th generation. (video: Brad Laughlin)

Linda's book, LionHearted Leadership - The 13 Laws, is an inspiring resource for discovering and embodying the new kind of leadership called forth in the Codes.
