The southern part of India i.e. Cape Comorin is a vital part of the Indian marine ecosystem with the juncture of three prominent water bodies; Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian sea. We expect everyone to contribute their valuable ideas on how to prevent and conserve the ecosystems in this locality. Topics such as water pollution, waste management and so on.

TOWARDS IMPLEMENTING WORLD WATER LAW & WORLD WATER YEAR 2021

CALLING ALL WATER STEWARDS, ACTIVISTS AND SOLUTIONARIES! 💦 💙 🌏

The proposals for a World Water Law and World Water Year 2021 were launched globally on World UNITY Water Day, June 24, during World UNITY WeekNow we gather to discover how to best collaborate and coordinate to make the World Water Law & World Water Year 2021 a global reality!

THE CENTRAL QUESTION FOR THIS OPEN SPACE IS:

How do we ensure the global adoption and implementation of the World Water Law and World Water Year 2021?

This Global Open Space event offers a creative, self-organizing platform for a series of diverse conversations ~ around the central question ~ to happen simultaneously. Anyone can host a session about any topic, related to the question, that they're interested in learning, exploring or evolving ~ you don't need to be an expert or give a presentation.

Participants in an open space event follow the 'Law of Two Feet' (or 'Two Clicks' for the online version) and can move between sessions to find the place or conversation where they feel most engaged. This participatory process also provides a focussed networking opportunity to connect and co-create with other Water guardians.

The event will happen at two different times ("East" and "West") to cover most time zones. You are welcome to join either or both! To learn more about Open Space see below.

WHAT IS AN OPEN SPACE SESSION?

Open Space Technology (OST) is a participant-driven way of running diverse brain-storming sessions that focus on answering a question and/or exploring a topic related to the central question. Participants self-organize into sessions and are free move between sessions as they choose.

Be prepared to be surprised. Here’s a short video introducing Open Space Technology:

WHAT WILL WE DO FOR THE 3 HOURS?

We open with an introduction and overview of the process and tools we will be using. Then each host will have 60 seconds to present their particular topic. From here all hosts will go to their breakout room and each participant will choose the session they wish to attend first. The sessions will last 75 - 90 minutes, after which we will all return to the main zoom room for ~1 hour to share brief summaries of the sessions and explore our next steps.

HOW DOES OPEN SPACE WORK ONLINE?
The format for the Open Space is to gather in a zoom meeting and from there move to and between breakout rooms. Following the session we will return to the main zoom room to report back and to coordinate harvesting and next steps.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO HOST AN OPEN SPACE SESSION?

To host an open space session you don’t need to be an expert, you just have to be willing to convene the session, have somebody take notes, and report back to the group as a whole.

The notes taken during the meeting include:

  • Session Name

  • Session Host

  • Participant Names

  • Discussion Topics

  • Commitments Made

HOW DOES EVERYONE FIND OUT ABOUT THE SESSIONS?

The Open Space begins in the main zoom room with everyone in attendance. Each session host is given 60 seconds to tell the main room about the session they will be hosting. People can add sessions right up until the main room closes. The overview of sessions (topics) with respective breakout room will be posted in a shared online document.

WHAT IF NO ONE JOINS MY SESSIONS?

If you’re committed to this topic this gives you the ideal time to focus on it and develop your idea. Or if you prefer, you can go join another session.

With deep gratitude to Harrison Owen, founder of Open Space Technology, and to Jon Ramer, Amanda Fenton and others who are pioneering this technology online.

Understanding the Energetic and Multidimensional Nature of Water

Let us connect in our intention to recognize, honor, and explore the energetic and multidimensional nature of Water -- as a encoder, translator, and transmitter of energetic patterns of information. How can we further our understanding, connection, and interaction with Water from this perspective and incorporate it into the actualization of the World Water Law and World Water Year initiatives?
